Purpose and goal

This agenda makes visible the obstacles and opportunities for increased growth of firms that represent thermal bioenergy. The agenda is a proposal on how the Swedish interests through strategic collaboration to achieve our goals. The goal is that Swedish bioenergy business in the short term, reversing the negative trend of falling sales that the industry seen since the early 2000s. Community initiatives, research and business develop together technology and services requested on all markets.

Results and expected effects

In 2020, all Swedish companies delivering technologies that meet Ecodesign demands. Because emissions no longer are a limiting factor, this gives both increased domestic use and that Swedish companies become established in new export markets. Both Swedish-made equipment and Swedish consulting services are established in markets outside Sweden. Exports of goods and services in thermal bio-energy has increased by 50%, calculated on the basis of the current level.

Approach and implementation

The work has been done by talking to many companies collect opinions through the questionnaire surveys and then discuss them together in workshops. We have identified a number of needs for research that can strengthen further cooperation between society, academia and business. Together we have developed and unite around a unifying document that contains the visions, goals and action plans that can help companies increase knowledge, grow nationally and also to sell in new export markets.
