Reference number
Coordinator Jabako AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration March 2019 - December 2019
Status Completed
Venture Innovative Startups

Purpose and goal

The project has had the following objectives: 1) To integrate existing research analysis software for the electrocardiogram (ECG) into a user-friendly clinical interface, 2) To explore the global market with regards to regulatory requirements for use in health care, and, 3) To apply for approval in the first market.

Expected results and effects

An excess of 95% of the project objectives have been accomplished. The market has been explored in terms of regulatory eligibility requirements and identified Nya Zealand as the market with the least obstacles to being able to start charging for commercial use of the software in the healthcare system. Approval has been sought and granted in the Nya Zealand market. Regarding integration of software into a user-friendly interface, almost 95% of the integration has been completed through significant software development in the form of so-called front-end / back-end integration.

Planned approach and implementation

The execution of the project has been a success made possible by multidisciplinary collaboration between software developers, medical doctors, researchers, business developers, and a network of advisors. Funding from Vinnova has been crucial to enabling this team work, and this has laid the foundation for further development which, thanks to the past year´s development, now has a very good outlook for achieving positive cash flow in the near term, in a way that also can finance continued international expansion.
