Project duration July 2013 - September 2016

Purpose and goal

Due to the first report to Vinnova, the intention for Skövde Municipality was to evaluate the Helicopter system through a pilot site and that is fulfilled. 10 persons (6 single living and 2 couples) was engaged in 8 homes. They have tested the system but their experience is a lot of technical problems and that they got very little feedback from the system. But after upgrading, the Helicopter system has been improved. An report has been written together with the pilot site in the Netherlands, Deliverable 5.3, and Jibs has done interviews, compiled in a report.

Expected results and effects

Now, after the Projects end, there is a prototype of a system that can, in the future, support elderly in their daily living, if it in several aspects, modifies and improves substantially. Skövde Municipalitys contribution was to evalute the continuous improving system throughout, among other things, a pilot site/living lab.

Planned approach and implementation

The continuous improving system has in different parts been tested during the project. The pilot site was starting late which led to problems with evaluation of some of the results. Some parts of the system couldn´t tries out due to an ethical application, which the project leader for the pilot site didn´t had the knowledge about and therefor made the application to late. A lesson learned is that the pilot leader need a test site on her own and learn about the different stages in improving the system before entering the participants homes. It had been much easier and saved time and frustration.
