Purpose and goal
Together with 7 other companies in HealthTech Nordic group, we visited the annual Health2.0 conference in Santa Clara in the end of October 2017. Organizer was the HealthTechNordic project with SmiLe as one of the stakeholders. We also participated in a pre-program in Palo Alto arranged by Vinnova / Nordic Innovation House. This included workshops, joint exhibitions and pitch events. This is the third year we are at Health2.0 where we go to hear about latest trends in digital health, meet partners and customers.
Expected results and effects
The program before, during and after the conference was very rewarding. Health2.0, which is in its 11th year, is a smaller conference with very good workshops, lectures and corporate presentations. Here you can get a good insight into the latest in digital health, especially in the US market, which is fine since the e-health potential is not limited to a particular country´s challenges but is international. During the trip, in addition to hearing what is happening within e-health, we also got valuable contacts with partners and customers.
Planned approach and implementation
Prior to the trip, we had Webinar with Mathew Holt, main organizers for Health2.0. We had the opportunity to meet the mentors Chander Chawla and Scott Barclay before departure. At Nordic Innovation House, Sales Workshop was organized with Scott Sambucci, the US Health Market Workshop with Greg Caressi, Frost & Sullivan, Pitch Practice with Nathan Gold and Deep Dive, how to bring and grow a health tech company in the US market with Scott Ba rcla y. We had two pitch occasions. A symposium during the conference and one in San Francisco for people with special interests for Nordic companies.
