Important results from the project

We wanted to offer Tingsbrogården, which is a care home for people with dementia, on Gotland as a test environment for the development of welfare technology solutions that can increase individuals´ independence and security as well as support for staff. The goal of the pilot study was to identify possible options in organizational development and technology solutions. We have partly achieved this goal and will continue this work, but not in Verklighetslabbet.

Expected long term effects

The goal of the pilot study was to collaborate with the welfare technology business to identify needs and possible options in organizational development and technology solutions to increase the users´ freedom and privacy. Our hope was to identify and created good contact with potential participants for continued cooperation in the concept Verklighetslabbet. The parts relating to business and organizational development have gone forward, but not to the desired extent. Certain contact with other actors has been initiated and will benefit us in the further development.

Approach and implementation

The two development leaders at socialförvaltningen have cooperated with the development council at Tingsbrogården and recognised a great interest for developing the work. The project has included inspiration meetings, workshops and participation in conference. We have also prepared basic technical infrastructure.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
