Important results from the project
The aim with the agenda work was to identify potential industry actors willing to take an active role in graphene innovation projects, commercialization of products and building the future graphene industry. Besides that, the aim was to identify groupings of actors with common interest in either application area or the physical properties possible to enhance with graphene. In the end all these activities aimed at recommendations and suggestions for development or verification projects. All these aims has been fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
The work has resulted in an agenda including vision, recommendations and goals. The agenda will be used to apply for a SIO project, making it possible to implement the recommendations. The result is expected to generate a lot of projects, a common vision among Swedish industry and the means to establish graphene as a new industry.
Approach and implementation
The agenda work have comprised identification of potential actors, 45 telephone interviews, planning and executing a workshop with 85 participants from 50 different companies. These activities have resulted in a list with over 100 interested industry participants, a list of area of strengths were graphene can make an impact on future challenges, a roadmap for graphene in Swedish industry applications and a strategic innovation agenda for graphene in Sweden.
