Important results from the project

The goal of the project was to carry out the necessary function and strength tests to produce a mature prototype that, with very small adjustments, is ready for launch. We have reached the goal with 3 of 4 functions and have identified sources of error on function 4 within the framework of the project. We are very close to a product that provides unique safety in a life-threatening sport. We need to continue the development of function 4 to offer the market a stirrup where the rider never risks getting stuck in the saddle of a running horse and we can thereby avoid serious injuries and deaths.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We have fulfilled our objective of carrying out the necessary function and strength tests to produce a mature prototype. Valuable knowledge-generating tests have been performed with focus groups. We have also reached mature drawings of 3 of 4 functions. We also see that the fourth function that applies to our active safety mechanism requires a new prototype and new tests to be ready for production. Theoretical concepts for how to solve the problem for the fourth function have been developed.

Approach and implementation

With us into the project, we had sketches and tested functional prototypes on a safe stirrup. The project was divided into 3 phases: 1.design and construction drawings. Important strength tests and calculations for each function were performed. The completion of phase 1 resulted in a rideable prototype. Phase 2. Testing in focus groups - very important information for further development was obtained here. Phase 3. Evaluation and completion of drawings for 3 of 4 functions. With regard to function 4, revised drawings have been produced within the framework of this project.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
