Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** One of the biggest challenges facing the manufacturing industry is the lack of skills to meet the higher complexity required by today´s and future industrial work. The purpose is to use Tobii´s technology to improve the training of new staff and the transfer of knowledge between colleagues in order to secure the supply of knowledge. The goal is to develop a training method that will function as a reliable tool and help people to the right skills in a fast and efficient way.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** We expect a method to train and develop the skills of industrial workers more quickly. The basis for the method is measurements of attention and behavior presented by the experts in their fields. The measurements also aim to highlight differences in working methods and identify areas for improvement. An expected effect is also to reduce the requirements for the language skills required to learn specific work steps to overcome any language barriers. Method description must be produced in an easy-to-understand manual format.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project was implemented in four major work packages (AP) that build on each other. I AP1 did the basic work of identifying occupational categories and tasks and study design for all basic measurements was produced. I AP2 carried out the measurements according to the outcome in AP1 at three different workplaces. I AP3 prepared the actual training elements according to lessons learned in AP2. Finally, in AP4, follow-up measurements were performed to evaluate the effect of the intervention.
