Important results from the project
The Project ´The Future Social Services for Children´ aimed at making social services in Sollentuna more modern and accessible for children. The objective was to raise awareness among children and young people about the social services, get a positive change of attitude and increase opportunities for children and young people to get in touch with the social services when needed. A particularly important group in the project were the children and young people who have been placed in care by the social services in Sollentuna. The objective was to create information for them specificly.
Expected long term effects
In the project, the social service in Sollentuna, has in collaboration with other key partners created: - New pages on the local website that caters to children and young people with information in the form of texts and films about the local social service. - New ways to contact us via e-service - The possibility of increased knowledge of the social services through education in schools and prints in the form of posters and leaflets. The group of children in care has their own pages on the local website with specific information in text and films.
Approach and implementation
The results of the project have been created from collaboration. Parties who collaborated is social services, communications agency, two employed youths, Council for Children in Care, the school Gärdesskolan, the office for children´s education, the IT team and the research team. The texts and the films on the website has been created in collaboration by the communications agency and the social services and reviewed by social workers, managers and youths. The text in the Teacher´s Guide has been created by the communication agency and reviewed by teachers.
