Purpose and goal

The collaboration project Fryshuset Hubs has met its overall purpose and goals by generating entrepreneurial activities where young people have been involved, but foremost by generating youth-driven entrepreneurial activities. The 27 uploaded entries to the competition Swedish Youth Entrepreneur have generated more than 4100 votes during the project period. Approximately another 150 contributions were received through the website. The project also achieved both quantitative and qualitative targets, see ´Project Summary - Outcome´ and ´Goal of the project - fulfillment´.

Results and expected effects

In addition to the 200 entries to the competition Swedish Youth Entrepreneur, around 350 young people (and 150 adults) have been involved in entrepreneurial activities, addressing to them important social issues, at Camp Connect (Sweden´s largest entrepreneurial camp). After which several projects have been initiated by young people. Fryshuset Hubs has also led to more unexpected results, one overall involving a social innovation work towards 2020, starting spring 2014.

Approach and implementation

By combining mobile and web solutions, the project has met part of its quantitative goals. Most of the contributions have been received via the web. We believe this is since the web solution has no limitation in choice of media, lowering thresholds, while the app is limited to a video format. Overall, quantitative and qualitative objectives have been achieved through a mix of channels and activities with different orientations. This has been important in order to engage a diversity of young people in creative processes and entrepreneurial activities.
