Important results from the project
The aim is to investigate the feasibility to integrate the production of fish and vegetables with existing pulp and paper mills. The potential of using surplus energy and other side streams generated by pulp mill factories for heating of fish tanks and greenhouses as well as raw material for production of fish feed will be evaluated. The overall goal is to utilize industrial waste streams to produce fish and vegetables in an environmentally and ecologically sound way.
