Important results from the project

In November 2017, Prime Minister Stefan Löfven of Sweden and President Emmanuel Macron of France signed a strategic partnership for innovation, digital transformation and green solutions between the two nations. This project investigates how an umbrella organisation may be formed to stimulate French-Swedish collaboration in projects on smart mobility.

Expected long term effects

Aim of the continued work should be to deepen collaboration between Sweden and France on smart mobility (DS scope) using Drive Sweden as platform and improving access to national and European innovation funds. Target should be (1) Investment in emergent mobility projects with French-Swedish partnerships, and (2) Establish channels in France and/or French counterpart for Drive Sweden.

Approach and implementation

The project was designed for investigating the need for and value of a possible umbrella organisation for French Swedish interests in smart mobility. A working group with representatives from RISE, Vinnova, Alliance for Urban Sustainability meet on a weekly basis to iteratively build a proposal. Input came from dialogue with people from industry and from municipalities. Two workshops were held. One on May 9th and on September 3rd, with more than 35 participants. Two conferences were held i parallel to this project. In Paris on May 9th and in Stockholm on September 3rd.
