Purpose and goal
Project goals to add functionality to identify known security vulnerabilities in open source software, enabling the launch of a security Product during 2018, were achieved as planned. We have also performed a first customer evaluation in Q3 2017 and in addition we have closed our first commercial agreements related to FOSSID Security product in Q1 2018.
Expected results and effects
The launch of FOSSID Security product has opened a broader market for FOSSID AB. We have today launched a marketing campaign related to our product portfolio and we are establishing a sales office in Japan. Both these activities would be premature without FOSSID Security in our product portfolio.
Planned approach and implementation
The grant from Vinnova has made it possible for FOSSID AB to accelerate the development by employing new engineers. This has led to increased sales and allowed us to grow the company. We are today 15 full time employees. As a direct consequence of Vinnova´s grant, FOSSID AB will pay more then 4 million kroner in employer´s taxes in Sweden in 2018.
