Call Development projects in incubators – 2017-2019

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to create a knowledge center regarding financial funding, both regional and national, where we can share working methods, knowledge, experiences and education that ensures better abilities to build financial ecosystems around the small and medium-sized incubators.

Expected results and effects

Expected effects are better abilities for incubators to find the right financing for their companies. The project also wants to even out the conditions between the larger and smaller incubators regarding the availability of, for example, venture capital. Further effects are increased collaboration between incubators regarding financing issues and increased general knowledge in the incubator environments, through education, coordination and sharing of tools, knowledge and experience.

Planned approach and implementation

The project consists of four parts: Conduct a mapping of incubators and innovation environments that have their own financial products; compile and evaluate these with focus on small and medium-sized incubators; find standardized investment setups that are compatible for different types of companies and entrepreneurs, and also create a long-term financing product that is able to support early stages; and finally invite incubators to an ERFA meeting with focus on financing issues.
