Important results from the project
The web app fulfils the requirements set on monitoring the workflow and evaluating the results. Communication with other parts of the XamFlow system works well, using REST. All goals with regards to target client platforms is fulfilled, mobile, tablet and desktop browsers are supported. (WP10) The web app is now ready and packaged in a way that makes quick installation in end user servers easy.
Expected long term effects
The result is a finished web app that enables workflow monitoring and evaluation. Web-based clients on mobile, tablet and desktop can be used for interactive navigation of workflows including dynamic diagrams of parameters and results, which can be viewed in 2D and 3D (including Virtual Reality) The web app supports the user by keeping track of all parameters for both the measurement and image analysis, and manages all generated results that can be analyzed and presented in the system.
Approach and implementation
The technical solution proposed has worked out well. The webapp is a Single Page Application developed in TypeScript using the Angular2 framework. The development methodology used is TDD with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. This has been achieved using a complete chain from GitHub to CircleCI where docker containers have been built and prepared and immediately deployed in real world web servers.
