Purpose and goal

The project focuses on the participating companies´opportunities to reach new markets with custom made new products. SME companies from three different countries (Sweden, Denmark, Latvia) have had the opportunity through the project to meet and together, both practically and theoretically at joint workshops, work out for their company relevant products adapted to a new market.

Expected results and effects

By bringing together SMEs from different countries with common business interest, they got new contacts, networks, knowledge and understanding of new markets. The project evaluation showed that participants particulary appreciated the networking and the new knowledge they gained. Most positive was to work together, practically in the group with developing new, relevant products. This was considered to lead to new business opportunities through collaboration in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region.

Planned approach and implementation

The project team prepared the joint design of the activities. The focus was put on the workshops that would be implemented in test labs in Sweden and Denmark. Companies from Latvia were invited to participate. It was decided early on that practical activities were interspersed with short theoretical presentations from researchers with relevance to the activities. Joint planning and implementation of activities was a must for participating cluster stakeholders that the project would succeed. Great emphasis was laid on for participants to work together and get to know each other.
