Important results from the project
The objective of the planning grant was to facilitate the candidate´s visit to all involved parties of the collaboration, in order to prepare a complete application for a VINNMER programme. The visits have been performed, and the application is now submitted, hence the objectives of the planning project are archieved.
Expected long term effects
The result is the submitted proposal to VINNMER programme, ´Space instruments to unveil multiscale couplings in the Earth´s upper atmosphere´, aiming at developing the candidate´s space instrument competence. Within the planning grant, we also succeeded in including an industry partner in the proposal, which widens the candidate´s experience. The project also contributes to reinforsing Sweden´s position in experimental upper atmosphere research.
Approach and implementation
The project´s layout was a longer stay of G. Giono at KTH, and shorter visits at IAP (Tyskland) and Omnisys AB (Gothenburg). This was appropriate to achieve the objectives.
