Important results from the project
The aim of project Eivor & Mai is to increase gender equality in Swedish film and material sciences. The aim is also develop and improve methods for change in gender equality work in organizations. These aims have been attained in the project. The way to work with group settings in specific ways and the combination of dissemination of knowledge of gender and organization theories with reflective exercises proved fruitful.
Expected long term effects
Eivor & Mai have contributed with increased gender awareness in the fields of film and material sciences in Sweden. This was proved in the response from participants in the seminars during the project and also in a follow-up meeting two years later. During 2017 reports and articles will be published where the empirical results and the theoretical contributions on work for change methods will be presented.
Approach and implementation
Of specific interest in Eivor & Mai are the results on working with different groups settings from a gender aware perspective. This includes working with difference according to gender and to organizational context. The project has an interactive and process-driven approach. Knowledge dissemination was continually combined with reflective exercises. The methods used supported participants when analysing problems of inequality and in finding creative measures for change.
