Purpose and goal

The purpose and goal of the project has been to develop lightweight standard based security solutions for IoT and bring them to the market, to the benefit of the industries in the involved project partner countries. The goal has been met by the ongoing standardisation and implementations being ready for the market. The result is also of use in the SecureCare and SECREDAS projects.

Expected results and effects

Project results are available in the form of new and improved IoT security standards, open source code libraries and new services for IoT security management. Scientific aspects are documented through scientific publications enabled by the project. The expected outcome is a strengthened position of the involved partners, w.r.t. relevant onwards business and research opportunities in the IoT security sector, and of the Swedish industry, through improved access to security services and expertise.

Planned approach and implementation

The Swedish partners have had a close cooperation throughout the project, both with respect to theoretical and practical aspects such as joint publications and standard drafts. We have been designing and testing the shared project solutions together, and jointly supported the development of relevant security standards. With our Korean academic partners we have successfully worked on joint scientific publications and made results available for practical use by the Korean company partners.
