Digitalisation for smart cities´ social cohesion

Purpose and goal

As part of the Government´s Innovative Partnership Programme a working group was formed to address the theme of digitalisation for smart cities´ social cohesion. The purpose of the group has been to highlight goals of social significance in an otherwise technology dominated field. The goal was to map the field, identify knowlegde gaps, and propose activities and projects that can stimulate Swedish innovations where digital solutions support social cohesion.

Expected results and effects

This project has resulted in a report (Digitalisering för socialt smarta städer), including a list of proposals that were put forward within the Innovation Partnership Programme (IPP) for Smart Cities. The report will now be communicated at different events within the planning and building sector.

Planned approach and implementation

The work has included desktop studies, interviews with stakeholders and other key actors, and a sum-up of previous initiatives.
