This objective has been fulfilled through the creation of the platform http://www.climate-kic.org/events/open-innovation-urban-food-from-residual-heat/.
Expected results and effects
The innovation competition Urban Food from Residual Heat shall present solutions for small production units for vegetables and fish that uses residual heat and can be localised in urban settings. The project Digital Portal for the Residual Heat Innovation is supportive to the innovation competition and a prerequisite for a successful competition. The project has led to extensive communication so 46 proposals from 21 different countries was presented in the open stage of the competition and to manage the competition and the proposals in the different steps of the competition.
Planned approach and implementation
The idea with the projcet was, adding to the creation of the digital platform, to distribute the responsibility for creating information material and a communication plan to the project partners. That has partly been fulfilled but communication plan and communication material has been a huge task and has got extensive support from the competition management.
