Project duration March 2017 - August 2017
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

Energifabriken wants to develop a digital service that cost-efficiently enables easy, flexible and safe selling of biofuels from company-owned fuel tanks. Srategic decisions and a plan for such development required more information and support. The aim of the project was to investigate the following; Market needs, technical and legal aspects and a simple draft of a demo version. All this has been completed, and Energifabriken now has a sufficient material for deciding the direction of further development.

Expected results and effects

The expected impact of the project was to assamble enough information to be able to take strategic decisions for the next step: developing a prototype for demonstration and test run, and a viable business model. Thanks to the information gathered within this project, Energifabriken has now decided to continue the development. A clearer direction and plan has been designed for continued product development. An additional application will be submitted to Vinnova, which will support Energifabriken to speed up the work pace and reach serie production.

Planned approach and implementation

The work has been based on these focus areas; Market research, Technology/design conditions, Intellectual property policies/protection, Legal conditions, Visualization/communication. This has given enough knowledge for the company to decide about continued work. We have confirmed the demand /need from our customers, examined technical /design conditions, examined the choice of IPR and protection and compiled legal conditions for 5 selected markets. More work has been done inhouse than expected, which is positive as the competence remains within the company.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
