Purpose and goal

The aim is to launch an innovative produkt in field of tissue acquisition for cancer management. Today´s technologies/devices have serveral weaknesses for the physician taking the sample, the pathologis analyzing it and the multidisciplinery team that sets the therapy plan. The goal of a device incorporating the Fourier Micro-pulse technology is to mitigate these.

Results and expected effects

With help by VINNOVA funding the project has been able to implement several improvements concerning product requirements that have been identified in collaboration with NeoDynamics´ European network of clinical key opinion leaders. This ensures an innovative and competitive product which can significantly improve cancer management. At the same time several aspects have been identified that motivate a subsequent development project implementing improvements not part of the current development process.

Approach and implementation

The company has performed product development according to the project plan that was developed and in detail described the project milestones. Product development effort was performed in collaboration with a Scandinavian development house. With regards to the clinical study a Swedish CRO has been associated to the project in order to ensure competence and resources. A communications agency from Stockholm has been associated to the project to prepare for market launch in several European countries
