Development of barriers for paper bottles - a pre-study

Purpose and goal

The objective with this prestudy was to identify a consortium and develop the initial ideas to a complete project proposal for a sub project with the purpose of developing paper-based bottles for carbonated beverages. Both these targets have been fulfilled.

Expected results and effects

A successful execution of the suggested project is expected to improve the chances to succeed with the innovation project to develop a paper-based bottle and lauch the product on the market. This would generate growth and new work possibilities in Sweden as well as generate new value chains for biobased materials.

Planned approach and implementation

During the prestudy three work meetings (+one info meeting), where the participants together developed a final project proposal, was arranged.
