Important results from the project
The general aim with the construction of a model for co-operation as well as innovation and entrepreneurship in sport and health was that this also could be used in other contexts. The aim to further develop existing temporary courses in innovation and entrepreneurship to be compulsory parts in education programs is also accomplished. Further, a platform for co-operation between the academy and other organizations has been established together with a model for career transition among elite athletes. The latter achievements can also be used in a generic perspective.
Expected long term effects
The results are that innovation and entrepreneurship will reach more actors and that the academic competence in evidence, education, evaluation methods in co-operation with partners better can reach the society. The environment related to co-operation and innovation will widening and deepening the development in the field. The possibility for the students and elite athletes to create a platform for future entrepreneurship will boost a powerful development in the area. The effect will be a higher competence, innovations, stronger co-operation and new activities for all players.
Approach and implementation
To use partnership between different actors to develop courses and activities in innovation and entrepreneurship, co-operation with new actors as well as a model for career transition among elite athletes has been crucial for the results. The creation of a concept from the three sub-projects creates synergies which will drive the development to a point where the concept can be brought into new environments and collaboration forms. Co-operation between academy, companies and society is decisive to allow theory to transfer into practice and for the results to have impact in the society.
