Purpose and goal

The aim of the key actors program, DARE, has been to contribute towards a developed quality in research and education through cooperation with partners outside the academy and the utilization of research results through a strengthened innovation support system. Through the program we have been able to develop, test and implement activities that, in a significant way, have influenced culture, competence and structures at the university and in the innovation support system.

Expected results and effects

The work has been done on the basis that it takes knowledge, joint ambitions and an interplay between culture and structure to achieve sustainable cooperation and an effective utilization of research results. We have reached results as increased knowledge and interest for personal mobility, a developed and tested model for strategic partnerships, a developed innovation milieu at Sliperiet, developed and tested activities to reach a more effective innovation support system and an increased knowledge about the entrepreneurial culture at Umeå University.

Planned approach and implementation

The key actors program, and thereby also DARE, is a tool for improvement of operations, culture and innovation. I.e. the activities done within the project have been focused on development in every way. In certain cases, the activities themselves have influenced the culture but the results of the efforts made in the project have also continuously been introduced to the university´s normal organisation and support system.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
