Purpose and goal
The aim of the project was for Brighter in collabortation with Jönköping University to further develop and test Brighter´s platform service Pioneers so that it could also function as a coaching tool for youths with diabetes. Although the testbed could not be implemented, both interviews and workshops were conducted with recruited patient group to explore and gain a better understanding of the final end user for the service. This functioned as the foundation for the final development of the platform´s functions and content just before the test bed would have started.
Expected results and effects
The platform assumes that the end users are involved in developing the service by conveying needs and sharing their own experiences. A central part of this project was therefore the results of the individual interviews and 3 separate workshops with the recruited patient group. The analysis of the results forms the basis for the design of the platform, where continued dissemination of the service requires a credible content plan that best enables young people to comment and chat with each other.
Planned approach and implementation
The project had been planned to be completed in four parts. Due to the delay of recruitment, the last two parts were prevented from being carried out. Although final results could not be provided, many new insights and partial results have been provided when it comes to inventory and verification for the design of the service. A strong collaboration between Jönköping University and Brighter generated research data as well as development of service for the company with input from the end users.
