Important results from the project
The purpose was to develop an organisational support to increase innovation in daily practice. The goal was to provide theories and models that enable managers to work with innovation in an everyday life characterized by operational challenges. A leadership support called LearnOvation was developed, and it consisted of an intervention in the form of four learning seminars aimed at management teams in primary care. Special focus was on training exploration and exploitation leadership behaviors.
Expected long term effects
The results show that management teams are better equipped to promote employee participation in daily work, using methods that support both exploration and exploitation behaviors. No significant differences in behavioral changes over time were shown. Practical implications: direct leadership development activities to the entire management team for increased implementation power; consider both explore and exploit to create sustainable innovation work and; use methods that promote participation
Approach and implementation
The project has had an interactive research approach where practitioners and researchers have collaborated on project design, implementation and follow-up. Together, an intervention was designed that was carried out in two rounds where the form and effect were tested before, during and after the intervention with the help of written evaluations and questionnaires. The project was carried out together with Bräcke Diakoni, Region Jönköpings Län and Jönköping University. https://ju.se/center/ja/forskning/pagaende-projekt/learnovation.html
