Important results from the project
The purpose was to disseminate knowledge through industry-adapted courses that meet the automotive suppliers’ needs, with a focus on SMEs. Objective was to develop 6 2-3 days courses, with 12 courses completed and 180 participants. 6 unique 2-3-day courses were developed, of which one was cancelled due to few entries. 5 shorter courses were also completed. A total of 15 courses were completed with just over 220 participants. The goal in the number of courses with the scope of 2-3 days was compensated for with some additional shorter courses. We therefore perceive the goals fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
Of those who responded to the evaluation, the majority see that it has contributed to new knowledge and that the implementation of the courses felt efficient and rational and contributed to closer contact with researchers, experienced actors and companies in similar situations. Dialogue between companies is encouraged and appreciated. The knowledge of what Produktions2030 can offer and the innovation system in general has increased among the course participants. The average grade was over 4 on a five-point scale.
Approach and implementation
In the courses, company representatives meet researchers from the R&I-projects and others who share their experiences, mostly 2-3 course days, 2020 transferred to digital format. They include new knowledge, dialogue and group discussions as well as homework. RISE and FKG (the Scandinavian Automotive Supplier Association) have jointly developed an approach based on FKG’s member companies´ needs. The roles and competencies of RISE (research institute) and FKG have complemented each other well in order to support SMEs in their long-term development work.
