Project duration April 2018 - December 2018

Purpose and goal

The aim of the project is to investigate the prerequisites of launching a testbed for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL). The investigation has included how the parties of the consortium could contribute to an open testbed and how different organizations would like to use the testbed, also including requirements on equipment and infrastructure. The project has resulted in a plan that summarizes the prerequisites and makes up a project plan for a launch if a testbed at the RISE SICS office in Västerås.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in a plan that summarizes the prerequisites and makes up a project plan for a launch if a testbed at the RISE SICS office in Västerås. The project and the inteviews and workshops conducted have raised a large interest among stakeholders when it comes to launching a testbed with focus on tools and competences for AI and DL. We hope to be able to launch a testbed during 2019 to comply with stakeholders expectations.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has been conducted in cooperation between the parties and within the framework of the larger DEEP project, making use of existing structures for management of the project and separate tasks. When collecting ideas and requirements from stakeholders we have used an extensive network of organizations through clusters and other collaborative projects with several partners.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
