Purpose and goal
This project aimed to develop workshops which would using theoretical and lab session increase the knowledge of the most common cybersecurity vulnerabilities found in automotive software and provide knowledge on how to avoid introducing them.
Expected results and effects
The main target audience were existing software professionals that develop and test automotive software. The workshops were also be adapted and tested on newly graduated students in order to introduce new engineers to software development in the automotive domain, while at the same time teaching them how to do so securely.
Planned approach and implementation
The participants were tested for relevant knowledge before the workshops they participated in, directly after, and one month after, in order to investigate whether the sessions had the intended effect, and if that effect lasts over time. The results show that both their understanding of automotive cybersecurity, and their confidence in own ability to handle the issues related to it has increased.
