Purpose and goal
The Result Center is run by Swedish product and production development research financiers and researchers through its Management Group (editorial board). The project goal is to secure editorial and technical operations and maintenance for the web platform www.kunskapsformedlingen.se and to further develop system support for an Educational web portal. By doing this it is upgraded from 3.1 to 3.2. The purpose of the project, to develop system support for the Produktion2030 graduate school, with approximately 200 postgraduate students and 50 course providers, has been achieved.
Expected results and effects
The Educational web portal is national and links researchers and course participants together from various universities, academies, institutes, and companies. The portal also supports additional courses from initiatives other than Produktion2030. It is tested and launched with 16 courses officially published in two areas; product and production development, primarily at third cycle PhD level, but open also for company participants. To subscribe, participants need to be logged in as system users.
Planned approach and implementation
Activities conducted were to specify, program, test and implement an educational portal primarily for PhD courses in the Produktion2030 Graduate School. For specification and testing, a reference group was appointed, consisting of representatives for researchers, teachers and PhD candidates from various universities and industries linked to Produktion2030, as well as financing bodies. The role of the reference group is to ensure use and quality through ideation, workshops, and use case tests.
