Purpose and goal

The purpose and the goal of the project was to develop a physical prototype to more easily show future partners that the method works in practice and to find a company who whishes to participate in further commercialization of the innovation. A prototype has been designed, manufactured and a tested. Two world-leading companies in core drilling (Hilti and Husqvarna) have initially shown interest in the innovation.

Expected results and effects

The results and expected effects were, to be able to practically demonstrate that the principles of the innovation work in lab environment. A prototype has been designed, manufactured and finally tested under laboratory conditions. The resulting forces have been measured. Two world-leading companies in core drilling invited us to their respective laboratory for demonstration.

Planned approach and implementation

The setup and implementation was to develop a prototype, implement and evaluate tests, as well as contact with future partners. The innovation proved to be useful in laboratory trials. Two world-leading companies in core drilling showed surprisingly fast interest in the innovation. In dialogue with potential partners, the issue of a detailed target group and the company´s existing products, arose. In the future, we will also look at companies outside the core drilling industry, such as companies with final customers such as plumbing fitters, electricians etc.
