Purpose and goal

The purpose of HSS 2019 was to bring together business, public sector, civil society and academia to strengthen the exchange between the parties around collaboration. The aim was also to disseminate knowledge and create an exchange of experiences with a focus on collaboration between academia and society. The meeting place has contributed to strengthening the knowledge about collaboration between academia and business and also provided a platform for the formation of new projects.

Expected results and effects

367 participants 3 lectures in plenary 21 contact points / methods and tools on "samverkanstorget" 14 workshops 1 research lounge 6 research sessions including a panel debate 3 learning sessions 2 conversation studios with the participation of, among others, the Minister of Higher Education and Research 1 kick off at Örebro castle 1 banquet This together has helped to strengthen HSS as a meeting place for collaboration.

Planned approach and implementation

HSS is a conference that places high demands on the knowledge of the moderators of both academia and society. HSS 2019 offered a number of program points, which requires the participant to have prepared their program. As far as possible, environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives have been prioritized. May is an intensive month for meetings and events. It is a challenge to get students and business to participate at the conference.
