Purpose and goal
The main objective of the project is to show real examples of new types of user experiences through online fashion, how brands can generate new forms of revenue sources after sales, as well as through analysis and knowledge transfer accelerate the industry´s development towards a circular, sustainable industry. The goal of the project is to take the fashion industry a clear step toward a circular industry by breaking down some of the major barriers in the ecosystem so far, and developing concrete concepts and insights for how the industry can evolve into an experience-based industry.
Expected results and effects
Connect Me´s connected collections, data models and industry incubators will help the industry to become more sustainable from a climate perspective and meet its customers´ demands for an inspiring user experience - requirements formed by a number of other industries where digitization and sustainability work have already been much longer. The industry will be given concrete guidance and help in developing towards a circular fashion industry, where customers are users of experiences and growth created by using the clothes for longer, creating revenue throughout their lifespan.
Planned approach and implementation
1.The image of Digital Fashion Accelerator. There, project members will gather actors working to enable circular and online fashion. 2.Pilot project with the goal of producing online fashion. Two brands will be handpicked to become part of the project 3.We invite a group of people who are allowed to wear the collections for a limited period of time. During this period, they will evaluate the connected garments and digital services we have developed. 4.Example of how linked collections can create new revenue models for fashion companies.
