Purpose and goal

Today Edimia Education AB has a product for sale. The translation into Danish has started. A language module has been created together with a backoffice where content, text, pictures, functions and licenses are handled. A team in Denmark has been established that will handle adaption and launch on the Danish market. All text are being translated and expressions and content adapted to the Danish curriculum. The product will then be tested in Danish schools and it will be for sale in August 2016.

Results and expected effects

Upptäck Mera Matte is today used in many schools. The feedback is that the teachers finally has found a digital product that can replace text- and workbooks. Most teachers find it easy to start using the product. Even teachers that are not used to ICT in the classroom, sees the pedagogical benefits and are motivated to test it. We have the same feedback from the team in Denmark. The competition there is higher, but the teachers in the team, find that Upptäck Mera Matte offers something different from other products on the market today.

Approach and implementation

The product has been developed by the Edimia team in collaboration with suppliers in Sweden and other countries. The collaboration has been made possible by the platform and the module structure on which the product is based. This enables a flexible work process and organisation. The concept and the language module have been developed at the same time as the platform. The backoffice, which has been created enables a flexible way to handle content. The way in which we work is new. We want to redefine the concept of how a digital learning product is developed an we think we have succeded.
