Important results from the project
A long-term strategic aim of the project was to strengthen the competence of industrial tribological systems, both at Uppsala University and ABB. This objective has been met.
Expected long term effects
- A number of joint research studies have been conducted, which resulted in four conference contributions. - Participation in current development projects at ABB, and a workshop in tribology at ABB, are other activities implemented for the exchange of knowledge and skills. - Authoring, together with a researcher from ABB, a chapter in a handbook (ASM). - Planning continued cooperation through joint research project applications and master theses projects.
Approach and implementation
The project has been implemented according to the original plan. I have continually worked 1-2 days per week on the project. Normally, one day per week at ABB CR in Västerås, some weeks two days, or in conjunction with researchers from ABB at my workplace at Uppsala University (for the use of certain equipment in joint projects).
