Important results from the project
The purpose of the project was to prepare for marketing and sales of the company´s products and services. The goals were to through trade shows and direct meetings to gather information on customer needs, price levels and possible business models. The goals are met. Previous assumptions have been verified or modified.
Expected long term effects
The main outcome of the project after step 1 is an updated business plan with - defined business model - pricing model - established supply chain with negotiated prices and second-source - sales strategy - deeper knowledge of market in northern Europe and the U.S. Strong demand for a retrofit solution has led to a new product concept based on our proprietary solution that complements and significantly strengthens our offering and the ability to reach the market.
Approach and implementation
The execution was done according to plan as an exhibitor at three major boat shows - Helsinki, Miami and Stockholm. Demonstration rides, direct meetings and participating in the Nordic boat journalist meeting have been made. Activities have given the project the opportunity to meet a lot of people and companies to gather information, assess assumed business models and spread information about our offer. The project has identified the demand for hydrofoil solutions that can be retrofitted to existing boats.
