Reference number
Coordinator Statens väg- och transportforskningsinstitut - Bibliotek och informationscenter
Funding from Vinnova SEK 268 000
Project duration July 2012 - May 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

The aim was to create a web site and present information about research and published results concerning public transport. The web site ´KUFF - Public transport, Development, Research, Case studies´ is the result of the project and also contains presentations of a selection of international ongoing research and international case studies, a link collection and a conference diary.

Results and expected effects

There is a well documented gap between researchers and stakeholders from the public transport industry. The project focus was to help the stakeholders to get an overview of research information and at the same time help the academics to get an overview of the applied research and development that is carried out. The effects of this initiative can not be measured during the short project period. However, a continuation of the project may lead to a coordination with ´K2 - the National Knowledge Centre for Public Transport´.

Approach and implementation

The web site ´KUFF - Public transport, Development, Research, Case studies´ has its foundation in the databases created by the VTI Library and Information Centre (BIC) at VTI. However, more focus is on ongoing research, development and development projects. The website is both in Swedish and in English with some parts beeing monolingual. Contacts with representatives for stakeholders has contributed to the development of the web site.
