Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to contribute to the development of the innovation potential of humanities/social sciences, by getting more h/s researchers to start collaborative research companies. The project, however, discovered an opportunity to broaden the efforts to increase the innovation potential of h/s at large. The new goal was instead to generally improve the conditions for the type of ´sharpened´ collaboration between h/s and society that is one of the basic ideas of collaborative research companies - no matter in what form this collaboration takes place.
Expected long term effects
The result was a number of tools and activities, in particular: 1. Efforts to obtain new images of research, to help change limiting beliefs about h/s. 2. A web tv series for researchers/students, intermediaries and stakeholders in society, to increase their knowledge of how collaboration can be used in h/s. 3. A matching side to help researchers (and their students) in the hum / sam and community organizations that want to collaborate. 4. A collaboration with four research funding, to broaden support for cooperation so that more of hum / sam is reached.
Approach and implementation
In order to achieve as much impact as possible, and as early as possible, the project designed the tools and activities in collaboration with the actors which they were intended for, such as researchers, students, innovation counselorss, research funders, stakeholders in society, etc. The project has also ensured that the tools will be disseminated by such actors after the project is completed. In addition, the project has created a trade mark for the dea of a ´sharpened´ collaboration within h/s: the non profit organization Humsamverkan, which will also continue to spread the idea.
