Important results from the project
Wellsec´s goal is to offer a cloud based traffic control service with improved performance and lower cost level. The project specific goal was to establish a solid knowledge platform and prerequisites for developing a complete cloud service and to develop a prototype. We have achieved the project goals, and both technical as well as business aspects have been considered. The prototype is working great and will be an key component in our future offer.
Expected long term effects
The prototype is a cloud based gate control service for mobile devices. The prototype has worked as a demonstrator for the project, showing the possibilities with cloud services for advanced gate control applications. The prototype has also proven its capabilities and is now being implemented by a customer in Sweden.
Approach and implementation
We have used a wide scope approach where we in parallel to the technical evaluation also have analyzed business aspects, customer benefits, system level advantages, and future development of the logistics solutions. Among other external contributors, we have cooperated with Martin Rudberg and Anna Fredriksson at LiU.
