Purpose and goal
The purpose of the project was to understand the needs, expectations and requirements within the target group for a digital product for sustainability reporting along with the new EU Directive, to understand the competitive landscape, and to create a prototype for testing, which would later be launched as a new product. We now, after the project, have the necessary knowledge needed, as well as a working prototype, ready to be launched under 2017.
Expected results and effects
The results are an insight into the target group´s requirements, expectations on the product, as well as a feel for a suitable price range. We have a prototype that received feedback from the target group and that we are now working on to prepare for launch. Several of the companies that participated in the focus group will make use of the product when launched, and we expect that this product will help to strengthen our competitiveness, first in Sweden, and in the future in Europe when the product has been adapted for launch in new European countries.
Planned approach and implementation
The work has been executed according to plan and has worked well. The format of the different work packages made it possible to continue as planned at full effect even though the legislation came into force later than anticipated. We have utilized the expertise within the company more instead of hiring external competence, since we recruited during the year. We have through collaboration with parties in our network been able to follow the process of the directive in Europe. We will continue to follow the details of each nation´s establishment of national law during 2017.
