Coordinator SENIONLAB AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration November 2012 - March 2013
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

We wanted to strengthen our competitiveness by automating our production processes and introduce automatic update based on user data. The production time was significantly reduced from several days down to an hour. Further, the work on automatic update of building information has started and is today utilized in some cases. In addition, we have developed a statistical web-based tool that analyzes user data. Our skills within the areas of cloud-based services and big data have been enhanced in the company.

Results and expected effects

Many of our customers require extremely large-scale solutions. One problem is the different time zones we work in, which meant that our work in practice often took several days. Now that we have automated the essential steps and moved up the data processing in the cloud, time delays can be avoided. The communication between the user, our customers and ourselves have been automated, which now allows that more services can be linked to the user´s position.

Approach and implementation

The project was conducted by SenionLabs employees and competence improvement occurred through collaboration with Linköping University computer science department. The staff has had time to study the methods and then used these to program our algorithms according to the latest research. The automated processing of data has been integrated into our existing product, while the methods for analyzing the data rather have been investigated and will be gradually introduced in our products after the project completion.
