Captron, Shadow accounting

Reference number
Coordinator LIMINA AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 2 000 000
Project duration December 2017 - May 2019
Status Completed

Purpose and goal

Limina now has a first prototype of shadow accounting, which goes under the module name "NAV Manager". The NAV Manager module is now being launched as a supplement to Limina’s existing product, which will further help the client to manage their investments in an efficient and compliant manner.

Expected results and effects

We can see measurable effects in increased demand as a result of having a Shadow Accounting module. It has been a critical component in several sales dialogues we have in Sweden that have already resulted in contracts. In London we find that this is a strict requirement for most potential customers, which means that this project is a strong contributing factor to the fact that we now have the opportunity to expand towards the UK.

Planned approach and implementation

Some complexities appeared during the project, among other things modeling of FX and Equity Swaps. The general framework for P&L (profit / loss calculations) were more complex than we previously thought, which required us to add some extra resources to the project. This led to the number of working weeks being higher than calculated in the implementation and testing phases.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
