Purpose and goal

The objective and purpose of this project was to create as much value as possible for our clients in the incubator process. And secondly also to secure a long-term commitment from our stakeholders to establish a strategic work to develop BBI into a world-class incubator with Lean Startup processes. The outcome goal of our work is to increase the number of sustainable, high growth companies that work and act on a global market. This leads to increasing employments and tax revenues both on regional and national level.

Expected results and effects

Today we can state out that we more than well achieved the goals and objectives for this project. We can see it as an incubator with strong, well-developed processes, models and tools to develop strong sustainable companies with global markets. The outcomes are: 1) A mix of great deal flow both from BTH and nearby industry. 2) growing companies that do business on international markets. 3) companies doing positive exit during this project period. Many of our cases attract seed funding and VC.

Planned approach and implementation

We have redesign our incubator process into a new process divided into three major areas. Our incubator process is the backbone in all our activities. Connected to the process we have made a lot of activities. Worth mention for this project is our BBI Fasttrack that has been developed from our Scaleup Academy- program. BBI Silicon Valley Business Boost is a periodic program. This is a hands-on program where we meet investors, incubators and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and SF.
