Purpose and goal

The aim of the current prestudy is to strengthen the business concept for destruction of hazardous biomedical waste at the source. Two key activities have been completed: 1) A market survey has confirmed the customer needs and estimated the global market potential. 2) Mapping of the waste streams from a potential customer in the health care segment

Results and expected effects

The prestudy confirms customer needs and provides an excellent understanding of how the proposed product can replace current solutions to the problems. The global market potential was estimated based on information from the reported market survey. The prestudy information provides neccessary information for continued development of the product and the business concept.

Approach and implementation

The team from Bioincendia has worked closely together with two industrial consultants to achieve the results of the current prestudy. The work was complicated by the limited project time and diffculties to reach potential customers during the summer period.
