Purpose and goal
The aim of the project is to establish BioBusiness Arena in the region with a well-functioning process organization and implement some pilot projects for the development of a structure for the commercialization of innovation in our chosen focus areas Smart Materials and Sustainable Energy. Most of the objectives have been achieved, such as - A skilled process organization in place - A strong foothold in the Sundsvall region - A process for catching ideas all the way to innovation on the market - Strengthen the cooperation with SP Processum, Fiber Optic Valley and BioFuel Region
Expected results and effects
All the expected effects of the project have been achieved. - A skilled and motivated process organization has been established - A learning process for continual improvement of the working methods has been established - A strong regional leadership to strengthen long-term development of the initiative - A documented development model of how innovations are initiated and commercialized - Greatly increased involvement of the regional industry in innovation work - The strategic idea has transferred into concrete action plans
Planned approach and implementation
The original planning for the project has been followed. - Process management was complete in 2014 when a communicator joined the team - Focus has been on establishing the regional platform and get a strong comprehensive backing of the initiative - Workshops have been conducted with triple helix in the region to work out a common roadmap with priorities and timetable - The strategic idea has been clarified and concrete action plans have been processed at workshops and collaboration meetings - Pilot projects that verify the innovation and commercialization processes are up and running.
