Purpose and goal

The purpose of the project was to increase Swedish participation in H2020 and it´s successor programs over the long term for built environment sector actors. The goal of the project has been to affect change in the call texts so as to make applying more attractive for said actors. This goal has been reached, albeit to a limited extent. For a long-term sustainable increase in interest increased participation of experts in European fora for policy formulation, lobbying and finding project partners is a requirement.

Expected results and effects

The project has resulted in a number of organized attempts at changing call texts, some of which has effected change in final documentation. These calls have thus become more attractive for participating Swedish actors to apply project funding from. indirectly it also boosts skills in the project group as to how lobbying should be written, timed and packaged in order to be more effective.

Planned approach and implementation

The activity of this project has been to initially collectively decide what opportunities for lobbying to grasp, whereupon a small group was appointed to work on proposals to be adopted by the project. In addition, a conference was organized for inspiration and match making potential H2020 applicants with experienced project managers in EU projects. Information was disseminated through the IQ Samhällsbyggnad regular newsletter. Long-term success also depends on the participation of Swedish experts in European fora for policy formulation, lobbying and finding project partners.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
