Purpose and goal
The main objective of the project was to propose a service oriented architecture for better interoperability between systems from different vendors. Results which showcase the plausibility of such an architecture and proofs of the concept have been presented in various forums, such as industry fairs, conferences and journals.
Expected results and effects
The Arrowhead Framework allows for a smooth installation and setup of systems from different vendors. This makes it easier for us to create complex systems, since we can use systems from other vendors because of the shared specification on communication and interaction between systems. EISTEC has, so far, released two products compatible with the Arrowhead Framework. This has also led to at least one new greater systems development consultancy deal.
Planned approach and implementation
The work has proceeded in steps, where we have worked together with other project partners to develop prototypes and demo showcases for display. The first generation was quite limited in functionality, but they have been further improved to show advanced systems with well-functioning communication with systems from other vendors. Collaboration with other project partners have led to further business opportunities for EISTEC, both during the project and afterwards.
