Purpose and goal

Vinnova, Sweden´s innovation Agency, has asked Sweco Strategy to perform an inventory and needs-analysis of Sweden´s test and demonstration infrastructure. That aim of the inventory as well as the results from the analysis was the it would be used with good value by VNNOVA and to provide support for the upcoming national Research and Innovation bill.

Results and expected effects

The mission has resulted in two final reports. Since the mission also has been carried out in close interaction with the client VINNOVA and RISE, the total mission has functioned as planned by providing a documented data that have been used by VINNOVA and RISE in their work for future research bill.

Approach and implementation

The mission has been carried out by two main elements which were reported in two separate reports. The first consisted of a survey of about 150 T&D facilities in the country with a focus on illustrating supply and demand, today and for future five-year perspective. The second part consisted of a survey of all 16 Strategic Innovation Program (SIP) in order to provide an overall picture of supply and the needs of test and demonstration environments, and how these should look like in five to ten years ahead to meet future needs from Swedish industry.
